Emilie Erich Hoffman

Emilie moved to Montana in 2012.  She currently works for Montana Department of Environmental Quality as a water quality permit writer focusing on surface water.  She has also worked as a hydrologist at the Montana Department of Agriculture studying groundwater with special emphasis on monitoring for agricultural chemicals.  Her work experience in Montana has taken her to diverse regions and many rural communities across the state.  Emilie obtained her B.S. in Environmental Studies at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC and her M.S. in Soil Science from Penn State University where her research focused on the genesis and mapping of subaqueous soils.  Emilie is excited to serve on the MT AWRA Board and is looking forward to connecting with the water resources community and learning more about Montana’s water.
